Lovely Clouds,

Happy New Year!  Cloud USA hopes that all of you have a healthy and prosperous 2012!  This year Cloud USA will continue to keep an eye on Rain and his military training--at which he excels (...of course.  Did anyone out there think it would be any different? :-})  At his basic training graduation ceremony, Rain received the 5th Divisional Commander citation for setting a good example for the rest of soldiers and for getting super marks in target practice.

Rain is now an ROKA Assistant Training Officer.  It is still unclear whether or not he will remain an instructor for the duration of his duty, but we'll let you know if his situation changes.  For many months now, we've been hearing rumblings about his being in a military film for the ROKA itself.  Talk of that has resurfaced.  We'll share more news about that project once we know the score.

We are anxiously anticipating more news of Rain's latest film, Soar: Into the Sun, which is supposed to be released in the next few months.  There is currently no fixed release date, as far as we know.  We were thrilled to discover that the Korean movie, Punch, which spent some time as number one at the Korean box office, opened nationwide in North America this winter (in California, Seattle, New Jersey, Chicago, Philadelphia and Atlanta). Why?  Well, because Punch was produced by CJ Entertainment, which also produced Soar: Into The Sun.  This bodes well for U.S. moviegoers who just might actually get to see the film on the big screen, rather than having to wait around for the DVD.  Wouldn't that be super?

The news of Rain's taking an almost-two-year break from a stellar entertainment career to serve his country was expected but is still bittersweet to Clouds everywhere. Although we are extremely proud of him and, as we suspected, he is turning out to be a spectacular soldier and a great mentor to his fellow recruits, we can't help but shed a tear or two at the thought of his being parted from his Clouds for so long.

In honor of Rain's commitment to both his Clouds and his country, Cloud USA is pleased to present the Yellow Ribbon for Rain Project, which allows Rain's Clouds to show their steadfast support by 1) collaborating to create a digital calendar to help Rain start his countdown back to civilian life with a smile and 2) joining a Twibbon campaign designed to help us build an even stronger, more united world-wide fan-base for him while he is away.

Please join us for both endeavors if you are able.  We are sure Rain would greatly appreciate the support.  As always, please continue to check with Cloud USA often for regular Rain updates.  Happy New Year to you all.
