Back to the Basic Mini-Album Release & Comeback Stage
On April 6, 2010, Rain releases a mini-album called Back to the Basic.  In the weeks that follow its highly successful release (April & May), Rain delights television audiences all over Korea, and indeed the world, with his winning comeback stage performances.  In the slideshow to the left are "still" highlights of Back to the Basic, the title track Love Song's music vldeo, and his  TV comeback stages, which were performed on competitive network television music shows such as KBS's Music Bank, MBC's Music Core, MNET's M! The Fugitive:  S1 Plan B premiered on Wednesday, September 29, 2010, in Korea, on Korean Broadcasting Station's TV2.  In this action-packed Korean television drama, Rain plays private investigator administrator Ji-Woo, who is hired by a mysterious client for a seemingly simple missing persons case and finds himself running for his life.  Although 16 episodes were planned, 20 episodes and a series finale that included "making-of" scenes were aired.  In the U.S. and Canada, you may watch English-subtitled episodes on MVBIO.COM, on Dramafever, or on local cable/satellite television providers of Asian TV.   (Photos: KBS 2TV)

Running & Running Rain: The Fugitive: Plan B
 

In February 2011, casting and preparations for the filming of Flight: Close to the Sun (Red Muffler) began. Rain has been cast as the leading man, Flight Lieutenant Jung Tae Hoon. Flight: Close to the Sun is a remake of director Shin Sang-ok's 1964 film, Red Scarf.  The 2011 film is about the soldiers' lives and loves as they deal with the day-to-day dangers of active combat.

Flight: Close to the Sun is considered to be one of Korea's first blockbusters, is being fully supported by the ROK Air Force, and will commemorate the 60th anniversary of the Korean War.    Please enjoy the slideshow of the images we have received so far from the Flight: Close to the Sun set.  (Photos: Rain, Flight: Close to the Sun team, as tagged.)

On February 28, Rain Receives his World Star Grand Prize from Seoul Arts College, at their official awards ceremony.

On Feb 11, Rain performed @ the 62nd SAPPORO SNOW & K-POP FESTIVAL, 'Love & Peace in Harmony, a charity event co-hosted by Korea's Culture Industry Foundation (KOFICE) and Japan's Sapporo Tourism Association (NPO).

On Jan. 19, Rain appears in Geneva, Switzerland at the 21st SIHH (Salon International de la Haute Horlogerie Genéve) High Jewelry Fair for Cartier.

November 27 2010: Rain represented Incheon, South Korea at the XVI Asiad, in Guangzhou, China, by performing a medley of three of his hit songs: Rainism, Hip Song and Friends. Incheon, SK will serve as the next location of the games in 2014.
