Rain is still busy fulfilling his mandatory military service obligation in the Republic of Korea Army. His enlistment date was October 11. Military service is required for all able-bodied male ROK citizens, from the ages of 19 to 37 years of age. The normal length of service can be anywhere from 22-26 months.
Rain began his stint as an active-duty soldier at the 306 Reserve Battalion, in the city of Uijeongbu, Gyeonggi Province. He is now serving as an assistant instructor with the 8210 Recruit Training Center Battalion (12th Company).
